Does Indexa require a WordPress plugin?▾

No plugin needed. Indexa uses the built-in WordPress REST API with Application Passwords — a secure, first-party authentication method available since WordPress 5.6.

Can Indexa publish to a self-hosted WordPress site?▾

Yes. Indexa works with any publicly accessible self-hosted WordPress installation. If your site is behind a firewall or local network, you'll need to expose the REST API endpoint to Indexa's servers.

Will posts be published as drafts or live?▾

You control this in Indexa. You can have articles published immediately as "published" or sent as "draft" so your team can review before going live.

Does Indexa support WordPress Multisite?▾

Yes. Each subsite in a Multisite network has its own REST API endpoint. Connect each subsite separately in Indexa using its own site URL and Application Password.
